Not sure what to do except bring this serious satelite radio back to radio shack. The man installed the radio in the boom box and last night I found the radio was still on because the radio itself not the boom box was warm. I haven't gotten any music out of the radio and want to know if there is a way to clear everything and start again to see if I can get the signal back. Not sure if the snow has caused problems but want to test this out without bringing the receiver back again for no rreason. The radio itself is a little square box placed in the boom box itself.
If the antenna is external to the boombox, try playing with the antenna and moving it around. I found that cured some of my problems with XM.

Hey,
You can call Serious customer service and have them send a signal to the radio to see if it is working.
A really dumb question for you, South Park. How would one know? I mean, if you can receive content, you could hear it. Does it give a visual indication that it is working, or does the receiver somehow let the "mother ship" know that it is receiving signals? Does it beep? Sorry if this sounds really dense on my part.

it does beep but I think it is very visual. there is one power button for the radio itself and one long button on the bottom for the boom box. Even though the radio beeps right now I can't tell if it is on or off. But calling cerius and having them send a signal is a great idea too. that's why I always enjoy this type of communication because younger people do great with technology and have good suggestions. thanks folks.
just a follow up on my radio; the atenna was bad and they replaced the atenna with no charge to me. I guess the atenna going bad should not have happened but I was very surprised at the outcome I thought the receiver or radio had gone bad. Thanks again for all suggestions.
